At Greenway Family Dental we are proud to offer our patients the latest in dental technology. We want your experience to be as convenient and comfortable as possible. That’s why we employ the latest innovations in our procedures. The following are a few of the latest technologies that we employ in our office for your comfort:
- Digital X-rays
- CBCT Imaging Technology
If your teeth are damaged, CEREC technology is a great way to restore them. In just one visit, using high tech 3-D imaging, we can create a porcelain crown that fits snugly around your tooth. There’s no need for multiple visits or for wearing a temporary crown. Instead, Dr. Steele can use this technology to create a crown uniquely fitted to your tooth.
Tekscan is a computerized bite analysis that allows Dr. Steele to see your bite from many different angles. With this highly accurate look at your teeth, he can then create dental restorations that are customized specifically for you. He can also use this technology to help determine how to treat your TMJ. Tekscan is a wonderful technology that eliminates guesswork and allows us greater precision in providing the dental care you need.
Through the technology of digital x-rays, we move a sensor from tooth to tooth and then see the images just moments later on the computer. Using digital x rays means we don’t have to expose you to as much radiation, so it’s also safer for you than traditional x-rays. In addition, it’s more precise because it allows us to see a larger image. Finally, we can easily store the images of your teeth and refer to them often.
The DIAGNOdent pen allows us to detect cavities earlier than ever. With this technology, we can find even small lesions and cavities that are in their earliest stage. The DIAGNOdent pen allows Dr. Steele to be more accurate in finding cavities, which means he can treat them before they become a large issue and ruin your smile.
At Greenway Family Dental we are committed to using the latest technological innovations to provide our patients with a dental experience that is both comfortable and effective.
CBCT Imaging Technology
“CBCT” stands for “cone beam computed tomography.” CBCT Imaging Technology offers a revolutionary way to acquire precise treatment planning as it provides a full access look at the entire craniofacial region. Advanced CBCT Imaging Technology gives us a 3D image of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone structure. With this 3D scan, we can properly diagnose you and better determine treatment for your symptoms.
CBCT Imaging Technology is relatively simple to use and virtually noninvasive. All you have to do is stand underneath the cone beam. You will then be instructed to bite down on the grip. Next, the cone beam’s arm will rotate 360 degrees around your head, capturing scans of your craniofacial region from several different angles. Once it completes its rotation, you should be all set!
