If you missed that crucial time in middle school to get braces and straighten your teeth, you may be wondering what you can do about it now. Crooked teeth or a misaligned smile can make you feel self-conscious and shy.

Further, bulky metal braces may not fit your lifestyle or your personal style. If that’s the case, ClearCorrect could be the clear choice for you, finally helping you achieve straight teeth and a beautiful smile.

How Does It Work?

ClearCorrect uses clear plastic aligners that subtly put pressure on your teeth, helping them to move gradually into a better position. Like traditional braces, ClearCorrect can be used to correct a host of issues, including overbites and underbites, crowded teeth, and crooked teeth.

Once Dr. Steele determines that you are a good candidate for ClearCorrect, he’ll take photos and make impressions of your teeth. This will help him get an accurate and comprehensive picture of the shape, size, and position of your teeth. We then send these impressions to ClearCorrect, which will create your unique set of clear, plastic aligners.

What You Can Expect

We ask our patients to wear their ClearCorrect aligners for at least 22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat and to brush and floss. If you wear them consistently, we’ll be able to stick to our original prognosis for you. Most patients will wear ClearCorrect from 12 to 24 months.

The Benefits of ClearCorrect

The main benefit of ClearCorrect over traditional braces is that they are so much more discreet—your friends and co-workers will hardly notice them! ClearCorrect is also convenient because you can remove them when you eat, meaning you don’t have to avoid any of your favorite foods.

Similarly, with ClearCorrect you can brush and floss as usual, since you will remove them during these instances as well. With traditional braces, brushing, flossing, and eating can present difficulties.
